Tennis

Tennis is a racket sport played between two players (singles) or two teams of two players each (doubles). The objective of the game is to hit a ball over a net into the opponent’s court in such a way that they are unable to return it. The game is played on various surfaces, including grass, clay, and hard courts. Players use a stringed racket to strike a felt-covered rubber ball, and scoring is based on points, games, and sets. A match typically consists of an even number of sets, and the first player or team to win a predetermined number of sets wins the match. The sport combines physical athleticism, strategic play, and mental endurance, and is governed by the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
