Fotbal

Fotbal, known as soccer in many countries, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each on a rectangular field, also known as a pitch. The objective of the game is to score by getting a ball into the opposing team’s goal. Players primarily use their feet, but they can also use other parts of their body except for the hands and arms (goalkeepers are the exception). The game is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, established by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). Matches are usually played over two halves of 45 minutes each, with extra time possible for certain competitions. The sport is widely regarded as the most popular and played game globally, with professional leagues and international tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup, attracting substantial viewership and participation. Fotbal promotes teamwork, strategy, and physical fitness, making it a significant cultural and sporting phenomenon worldwide.
