Freezing Fog

Freezing fog is a weather phenomenon that occurs when the air temperature is at or below the freezing point (0 degrees Celsius or 32 degrees Fahrenheit), and moisture in the atmosphere condenses into tiny droplets of water, forming fog. When these droplets come into contact with surfaces such as roads, trees, and power lines, they freeze instantaneously, creating a layer of ice. This can lead to hazardous conditions, including reduced visibility and slippery surfaces. Freezing fog can often create visually stunning ice formations, but it poses significant risks for transportation and safety.
