Корея

Корея (Korea) refers to the historical and cultural region located in East Asia, currently divided into two sovereign states: North Korea (officially the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) and South Korea (officially the Republic of Korea). The Korean Peninsula is bordered by China to the northwest, Russia to the northeast, and is separated from Japan by the Korea Strait.

Korea has a distinct cultural identity, with its own language (Korean), traditions, and historical heritage. The peninsula has a rich history, with influences from various dynasties, such as the Goryeo and Joseon periods, shaping its cultural and political landscape. The division of Korea into North and South occurred after World War II, leading to different political systems and economies.

Today, South Korea is known for its rapid economic development, technology, pop culture (notably K-pop), and democratic governance, while North Korea is recognized for its authoritarian regime and military focus. The relationship between the two states remains complex and often tense, marked by historical conflicts and ongoing diplomatic negotiations.
